Ethereum

Ethereum is a cryptocurrency that was released in 2015. It is one of the most popular altcoins. Vitalik Buterin is the founder of this altcoin, which takes the 2nd place according to CoinmarketCap data. Ethereum managed to climb above the $10 level in the first months of 2016 with a successful rise. Having closed 2016 around these levels, Ethereum experienced a great rise in 2017. ETH, which rose from $10 to $350 in sound steps in 2017, ended the year with $725 signaling to its record year 2018. Due to these developments, Ethereum has attracted attention of many crypto users. ETH, which rose to a record level of $1,432 in January 2018, entered a major downtrend after this level and closed 2018 at $120. Ethereum, being in recession in 2019, remained in the $120 band.

Ripple

Ripple is one of the rare altcoins that are not decentralized like other cryptocurrencies. Launched by Ripple Company in 2012, the most important feature of Ripple is its extraordinary processing speed. Starting 2014 at the lowest levels, Ripple was traded at $0.0020767 in 2015. Maintaining the same value in the next year, Ripple signaled at its big rise in the next year with big fluctuations in 2017. In 2018, XRP broke a record, reaching $3.84. After that date, Ripple, which has returned to its previous band, is trading at $0.235635 today. It is ranked third in the cryptocurrency ranking according to CoinmarketCap data.

Litecoin

Litecoin was launched in 2011 by former Google employee Charlie Lee. Litecoin was seen as a rival to Bitcoin when it was first released, but Litecoin developers and founder stated that Litecoin was established as a solution to problems in the Bitcoin network, not rivaling Bitcoin. Litecoin, which was at $3 levels in 2013, shocked crypto users by reaching $50 with a sudden increase. Litecoin, decreasing in value in 2014, fell below the $10 resistance. The years 2015 and 2016 were stagnant for Litecoin. Litecoin, experiencinga big leap in 2017, managed to climb to the levels of $ 40- $ 50. Reaching a record in the last days of 2017, Litecoin reached its all-time high with $375. Litecoin, leaving behind 2018 and 2019 with ups and downs, is currently trading at $60 levels.
