Opera now offers a new feature that makes it possible for US users to buy cryptocurrencies using mobile and desktop browsers.
Opera partners with the US licensed money transfer company Wyre in the crypto industry, enabling US customers to purchase Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) directly from their browser’s crypto wallet. There are different usages for Apple and Android users. Android users can make purchases with debit cards, while iOS users can complete purchases with Apple Pay.
Users in the Scandinavian countries Denmark, Sweden and Norway have been able to purchase cryptocurrencies for more than a year via mobile browser. According to the statements made by the spokesperson of Opera, the company plans to activate direct cryptocurrency purchases in other countries in the near future. Per the data announced by Statcounter, Opera, which has a market share of only 0.48% in the USA, shows its presence in Europe with a market share of 2.12%.

The company claimed that users using the Apple Pay purchasing solution can purchase cryptocurrencies in less than half a minute.
Charles Hamel, the head of Opera, responsible for cryptocurrencies, explained how important the project was: “In the past, obtaining crypto money was a difficult process that took hours or even days. Our solution, which takes less than 30 seconds, is a groundbreaking development. ”
